New website and new community

Cancerfonden was looking for a partner that could help them develop the business and commuication on the web.

Dan Tavares, vice secretary-general at Cancerfonden, motivates why EDB was chosen as the partner. "To be able to achieve our ambitions we need a quailfied partner, and our requirements are high. A co-operation with Cancerfonden is something out of the ordinary since the degree of involvement is high. We chose EDB since they are a long-term partner for us when it comes to techonology and hosting. In the new project EDB was given an overall responsibility for concept, design, technial development and hosting."

Adopting to the social web

EDB´s work took off in the web strategy that is all about how Cancerfonden are more efficient to meet the target groups' goals on and how Cancerfonden will adopt to the social web. The acitvity on the new cancerfonden.se is made clear when the flow of incomning gifts is published with the givers namn, picutre and type on the start page.

The new Cancerfonden.se, based on EPiServer CMS is for those who want to engage in the battle against cancer. The website will make it easier for its users to take part in the debate, discuss, give and start their own gaterhing. Cancerfonden.se will show that each gift make a difference and present result from the cancer research.

Community

In the community, based on EPiServer Relate, the members can start their own gatherings, discuss, find speaking friends, send messages to eachother and get an overview of their engagements. To guarantee performance and search accuracy the search engine Google Mini is used.
