Fans1 is a Chinese sports vertical focusing on International Football (Soccer) and NBA Basketball. The website is for a network of hundreds of amateur football editors who publish news about their favorite teams.
Each day more than 100 articles are published on the website and between 9 and 12 a.m. articles are published with an average frequency of one new article every other minute! In December 2008 more than 13,000 articles had been published through the EPiServer CMS editor environment.
The Fans1.com portal was built and released by Isotop on the foundation of a standard EPiServer CMS platform. The concept and the design came from the Fans1.com team in China. By using a few very user friendly page templates, the editorial teams (each following a specific team) can quickly publish pre- and post match reports and articles about players, tournaments and events.
Fans1.com is targeting the Chinese Internet audience and all content is published in simplified Chinese.

"But with a user friendly and easy to use interface like the one delivered by EPiServer CMS, we have been able to minimize the need for education which has reduced time to launch significantly", Stefan continues.
In addition to the EPiServer CMS platform Fans1.com also hosts several BBS discussion forums for European Football Clubs in China. These forums add a number of interaction- and social networking opportunities to the constant flow of news enabled by the editors working with the EPiServer CMS platform.
